Products & Portions
How many restaurant portions does 1 kg of MITRA gravy make? +
Approximately 8–20 portions per kg depending on the product type and your portion size. A rich, creamy gravy like Butter Chicken or Korma served at a standard 150 g portion yields around 8–10 plates per kg. A thinner gravy or soup base like Rasam or Pulusu, or a paste used as a marinade, can yield up to 20 portions per kg. We recommend portion-testing during your sample trial to lock in your exact kitchen yield and cost per plate.
Is the 1 kg pouch ready-to-use or a concentrate? +
Ready-to-use. All MITRA gravies are fully cooked, seasoned, and ready to heat and plate. No dilution needed — heat the pouch, add your cooked protein or vegetables, and serve. Our paste SKUs (Tandoori, Tikka, Biryani pastes) are concentrates and labelled clearly; 1 kg paste yields 4–6 kg of finished marinade.
What is the shelf life? +
Unopened, ambient-stable pouches: 18 months from manufacture date. Refrigerated after opening: 5–7 days. Both manufacture date and best-before date are printed on every pouch.
Are MITRA gravies halal-certified? +
Several SKUs are halal-certified and clearly marked. If halal certification is a requirement, mention it in your inquiry and we will supply the relevant documentation and ensure only halal-certified SKUs are included.
Are there vegetarian and vegan SKUs? +
Yes. Our South Indian range (Rasam, Pulusu, Avial base) and several North Indian gravies are vegetarian. Vegan SKUs — free from dairy, ghee, and honey — are a growing part of our range. Request the vegetarian/vegan SKU sheet in your sample inquiry.

Ordering & MOQ
What is the minimum order quantity? +
For restaurants ordering direct: 5 kg per SKU, no minimum total order. For distributors: 200 kg total per shipment. For private-label runs: 500 kg per SKU. Custom formulations have higher minimums discussed at inquiry stage.
Can I order a mix of SKUs? +
Yes. Most restaurant customers order mixed — for example, 10 kg Butter Chicken, 5 kg Korma, 5 kg Saag Paneer. We fulfil mixed SKU orders above the per-SKU 5 kg minimum.
How do I get a price list? +
Pricing depends on SKU, volume tier, packaging format, and destination country. Submit a Bulk Quote inquiry with your approximate monthly volume and SKUs you want. We respond within 48 hours with a tailored price sheet. We do not publish a public price list because shipping and duty costs vary significantly by destination.
Do you offer samples before I commit to a bulk order? +
Yes — this is how most of our restaurant relationships begin. Submit a Restaurant Sample inquiry and we'll send a curated sample kit (typically 1 kg × 4–6 SKUs) to your kitchen. Samples are free to qualified restaurants; international courier cost may apply outside India.

Currently shipping to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, and several EU countries. Contact us if your country isn't listed — we may arrange shipment through a regional distributor.
How long does delivery take? +
India to USA: 7–14 business days (air) or 30–45 days (sea freight for pallets). India to UK/EU: 5–10 business days (air) or 25–35 days (sea). Timing varies with port delays and customs. Tracking number provided within 48 hours of dispatch.
Who pays import duties and customs? +
Import duties are the buyer's responsibility and vary by destination country and HS code. We provide full shipping documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, Certificate of Origin, FSSAI certificate, Halal certificate where applicable) to support smooth customs clearance.
🔒
Private Label & NDA
Can you supply under my restaurant's brand name? +
Yes. Private-label packaging is available for orders above 500 kg per SKU. You supply print-ready artwork; we print and pack under your brand. NDA agreements are standard for all private-label relationships. Lead time for first private-label run: 6–8 weeks.
Will you mention my restaurant in your marketing? +
Never without your explicit written consent. We treat all client relationships as confidential by default. We will not name your business, include your logo, or reference your menu in any marketing, case study, or social media post without a signed release from you.
Can you create a custom recipe for our brand? +
Yes, for orders above 1,000 kg per formulation. Custom formulations go through 3–5 development rounds with your head chef. All custom recipes are your intellectual property once signed off and are covered by NDA. Typical timeline: 8–12 weeks from brief to approved recipe.
