Moringa oleifera leaf powder from cultivated plantations in Tamil Nadu, washed, shade-dried and milled under HACCP — the green, protein-rich superfood powder for nutrition brands, beverage blenders and supplement manufacturers in the US, UK, Ireland and the EU, specified where cheap moringa fails: microbiology, heavy metals and colour.
Colour tracks chlorophyll, and chlorophyll tracks how gently the leaf was dried. Brown moringa has lost more than colour.
Moringa's reputation was damaged by cheap, brown, contaminated powder. The premium market is now built on three numbers: microbiology, heavy metals, colour.
PKM-1 moringa grown for leaf on plantations, cut every 40–50 days; no roadside or wild leaf.
Washed in potable water, dried on racks — never on the ground — and steam-treated: total plate count ≤ 10⁴ cfu/g, Salmonella and E. coli absent.
Dried below 45 °C out of the sun; chlorophyll, vitamins and colour retained — the bright green the retail shelf demands.
Lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury by ICP-MS on every lot, against EU supplement and US Prop 65 expectations.
Typical specification for food / supplement-grade leaf powder. Organic-certified lots to the same panel.
| Quality check | ODOD Group lot | Typical open-market lot |

Regulatory references are provided for planning; the importer of record confirms the requirements for each shipment. Lot-specific test panels are run to the buyer's specification before dispatch.
Every step exists to keep the leaf green and the counts low.
Leaf cut from cultivated PKM-1 plantations on a 40–50-day cycle; transported the same day.
Potable-water wash with a sanitiser rinse; leaflets stripped from stalks by machine and hand.
Dried below 45 °C in ventilated shade houses on stainless racks — never on the ground.
Validated steam treatment for microbial reduction; milled to 80 mesh; nitrogen-flushed lined cartons.
Processed and packed in FDA-registered, GMP-certified facilities running HACCP under ISO 22000. Halal certified; Kosher and organic-certified lots on request. A full Certificate of Analysis travels with every lot, and every pallet traces back to its farm cluster and processing batch.
Documents per shipment: COA, Certificate of Origin, phytosanitary certificate where applicable, health certificate, packing list, and Halal certificate on request.
Moringa is one of the top-searched superfood powders in the US and UK.
Supplement-grade lots with heavy-metal and microbiology reports per lot; steam-treated.
Vivid green colour and 25 % protein; disperses cleanly at 80–100 mesh.
Powder for cold-blend and hot-fill lines; colour-stable in acidic bases with care.
Nutrition and colour in one ingredient.
Tea-bag cut leaf from the same lots.
Feed-grade powder from the same plantations.
Chlorophyll fades with light; we pack in the dark.
Because most moringa is dried on the ground in the sun, which loads the leaf with soil bacteria and moulds; counts of 10⁶ cfu/g and Salmonella findings are common in cheap powder. Ours is washed with a sanitiser rinse, dried on racks in shade and steam-treated, and every lot is tested — total plate count 10⁴ or lower, Salmonella and E. coli absent.
Yes. Moringa oleifera leaves are listed in the EU Novel Food Catalogue as not novel because of their history of consumption, and the UK takes the same position. Finished supplements must meet the contaminant limits and labelling rules for supplements; we supply the analytical reports those rules require.
Stricter than the law requires. The EU limit for lead in dried leaf-based supplements is 3.0 mg/kg; our specification is under 1.0 mg/kg lead, 0.2 cadmium, 0.5 arsenic and 0.05 mercury, tested by ICP-MS on each lot, which also keeps US brands clear of Proposition 65 warnings at normal serving sizes.
Green colour tracks chlorophyll, and chlorophyll tracks gentle drying. Brown moringa has been sun-dried or over-heated, has lost vitamins and flavour, and does not sell on a retail shelf. We grade colour against a reference and print L*a*b* values on request.
No — ETO is not permitted for food in the EU or UK and we do not use it for any market. Microbial reduction is by validated steam treatment; ETO and 2-chloroethanol are tested not detected at 0.02 mg/kg.
Yes. NPOP-certified organic plantations supply lots accepted under USDA NOP and EU / UK organic equivalence. Specify at quotation.
