Cold-pressed moringa seed oil — ben oil — from dehulled Moringa oleifera kernels grown in Tamil Nadu: pale gold, almost odourless, rich in oleic and behenic acid and among the most oxidation-stable plant oils known. For skin-care, hair-care and perfumery formulators, and for food use where regulations allow, in the US, UK, Ireland and the EU.
High oleic and low polyunsaturates are why ben oil resists oxidation — an induction time several times that of sunflower oil.
Watchmakers used ben oil as a lubricant because it would not gum or turn. Formulators use it for the same reason.
Very low linoleic and linolenic content: the oil stays fresh for two years unopened and extends the shelf life of the blends it goes into.
Absorbs quickly without shine — a base for facial oils, serums, cleansing balms and hair oils.
The traditional enfleurage oil of perfumery: nearly odourless itself, it takes up and fixes fragrance.
Pressed from PKM-1 kernels from the same Tamil Nadu plantations as our leaf powder; one supply chain, one set of documents.
Typical specification for cold-pressed, filtered moringa seed oil. Refined, deodorised (RBD) oil to the same panel with lower colour and FFA.

Regulatory references are provided for planning; the importer of record confirms the requirements for each shipment. Lot-specific test panels are run to the buyer's specification before dispatch.
The quality of a pressed oil is decided before the press: clean, dry, freshly dehulled kernels.
Mature PKM-1 pods dried on the tree; seeds cleaned, graded and dehulled to white kernels.
Expeller-pressed below 45 °C — no hexane, no steam — to keep the oil pale and low in free fatty acid.
Settled, then plate-filtered to brilliance; refined grade is neutralised, bleached and deodorised.
Filled under nitrogen into food-grade HDPE jerrycans or lined steel drums; stored cool and dark.
Processed and packed in FDA-registered, GMP-certified facilities running HACCP under ISO 22000. Halal certified; Kosher and organic-certified lots on request. A full Certificate of Analysis travels with every lot, and every pallet traces back to its farm cluster and processing batch.
Documents per shipment: COA, Certificate of Origin, phytosanitary certificate where applicable, health certificate, packing list, and Halal certificate on request.
Where ben oil is specified today.
A fast-absorbing, stable emollient at 2–100 % of the oil phase.
Light conditioning without residue; popular in "superfood" hair lines.
Near-odourless carrier for attars, roll-ons and massage blends.
High oleic for a mild, conditioning bar; saponification value on the COA.
A mild, olive-like oil with a high smoke point — for markets and uses where it is authorised.
30 ml – 250 ml bottles filled by co-packers from bulk.
Nitrogen-blanketed, food-grade packaging; samples in amber glass.
Ben oil, or behen oil, is the traditional name for the oil pressed from moringa seed kernels. It takes the name from behenic acid, a long-chain saturated fatty acid it contains at 5–9 %. The oil is about 70 % oleic acid, pale, almost odourless and unusually resistant to rancidity.
Cold-pressed in an expeller below 45 °C and filtered; no hexane is used. A refined, bleached and deodorised grade is available for formulators who need the lowest colour and odour.
Moringa leaves have an established history of food use in the EU and UK; the seeds and seed oil do not, so novel-food rules apply to food use there. We supply the oil for cosmetic use in those markets unless the buyer holds the relevant authorisation, and we provide the documentation a regulatory reviewer needs.
Certificate of Analysis with the GC fatty-acid profile, peroxide and acid values; Safety Data Sheet; allergen, origin and non-animal-testing statements; and heavy-metal and microbiology results. Brands use these in their Cosmetic Product Safety Report.
Very. With low polyunsaturated fat the oil has a long oxidative induction time; unopened and stored cool and dark it keeps 24 months. We fill under nitrogen and recommend resealing promptly.
Yes — pressed from NPOP-certified organic kernels, accepted under USDA NOP and suitable for COSMOS-certified formulations on request.
